that looks really really nice man!

i'm assuming the top of the piston is wayyy lower on the caliber ones,

what about the headgasket difference???

do the pistons and rods went in without any mod???

regards,

G.

Thanks! The pistons are from a Caliber srt4 and there was not mod to be done. I think that the gasket from srt4 has one layer less than the lancer.

So you basically used the Evo X turbo kit? Everything fit okay? I heard that you can install the turbo without having to upgrade the internals but is recommended if youre aiming for higher HP. And do you really need an Evo X ECU? Or can you just tune the stock GT ECU?

Everythig fit ok with minor mods. You can tune the lancer ecu but you'll have p0365 code and your mivec will not work.

Okay, so an Evo X ECU is a pretty good idea then. Thanks!

Great details.

I was also looking to do the exact mod. except for the caliber piston+rods for now. 317 hp is a great number for a 170 stock NA engine.

Did you tune further with the Evo X ECU or is it just bolt on and that is all? what boost are you running ?

I'm boosting 18 psi.

did not knew 4b12 could handle that kind of psi with forged piston and rod. Wonder how much the stock piston setup could handle.

My same question. I want to boost the 4b12 but wouldnt want to stress the stock rods and piston to the point of breaking
