When you get your car from the dealer it runs best on 87. The only way a higher octane is going to help is if you get some kinda ECU flash like from Works and ask for a higher octane.

Lol ^^^ thats true too. I thought the 08 GTS had the 4b12 but guess, is it new to 2009+?
Nope, the GTS had the 4b11 (2.0L, 152hp crank) in '08, and then Mitsubishi realized "Holy crap, we're making this nice looking car that looks fast, but it isn't.", so they put in the 4b12 (2.4L, 168hp crank) to speed it up a bit.

The 0-60 improved by a healthy 1.1 seconds, and the 1/4 mile to a rough 15.8, up from a 16.9 in the 2008 model year. [source: Edmunds.com]

you have to take environmental differences into consideration as well as dynos. Not all dynos show the same numbers. Altitude, Hummidity, and Temperature also factor into dyno differences. A stock 4b11 in Vegas will dyno better than a 4b12 in Seattle if both were on the same dynos... You can think of it in this manner "Engines function similar to your body. You need oxygen for energy so altitude, and humidity effect your running routine, this is why Olympians train in high altitude areas to build lung strength/capacity so they can run better in lower altitude competitions. Your engine needs air as well, so in a higher altitude your engine will struggle more when ingesting oxygen than it does in a lower, less humid climate." So you really can't compare numbers from cars across the continent/world. It's best to only look for vehicle dynos in your area to get a ball park of what mods will do what for your car. This is the reason most companies refuse to give dyno numbers for products because there are so many different factors to consider, and they don't wish to misrepresent their products.

Hopefully this helps =P

I am sorry, but I have to agree those are some seriously low WHP numbers for modded N/A cars...

My Stock 08 GTS PVEZ Manual was pulling 135WHP and 141TQ.

Unfortunately I haven't Dyno'd since adding my Tsudo Exhaust and RA Snorkel.

Then there is...

flambouyantdude's 09 GTS FED Manual W/ Tsudo Exhaust

Pulling 164WHP and 151TQ.
