Hey everyone,

So lately I have been seeing ALOT of people posting questions that there are already Topics for. Please please please DO YOUR RESEARCH!!! Being lazy isnt an excuse for not reading or searching for a topic that your looking to get a quick answer for. There is reasoning behind the search bar in the top right corner. It makes everything much much easier to find.

ALSO

I have also been seeing alot of misinformation being posted because people just dont look closely enough. Please do PROPER research before answering someones question and unintentionally giving them the WRONG answer. Make sure the information you are giving the person is 100% correct.

If anyone needs a refresher on the rules you can find them here
That is all for now.

Thanks,
Courtney

I agree as well but the pl search bar barely finds what I'm looking for. So just saying they may have had trouble finding the topic they are looking for in order to post on it instead of posting new thread.

That is true but you can just go browsing through the topics and if you dont see a RECENT one that you are looking for then post it. Im talking about people posting topics that there are CLEARLY already topics for.

Could you give an example? This search engine so far has worked way beyond the norm for me. And i use it constantly to double check people reposting things.

I mean, there are like 10 "Which intake/exhaust is best??" threads, and yet every day there is a new thread on asking the same basic questions on both topics. Most people who say "I cant find it searching" never bothered to look. And i have proven this.

The search first organizes by words in your search in titles, then you can organize it by posts with the words you are searching. The biggest issue is that people prefer to look at just the first 3 options, then give up.

Perfect example:
http://projectlancer...20

This thread first originated in 2010, and was labeled "Official Decal Thread". A few weeks ago, a member created a thread, for the same purpose, and never did a search. This new thread quickly began to gain more posts, a long with older members also reposting their decals and such. All the while, the original post was still there. So i merged both posts.

The issue here isnt that the search bar doesnt function. It works just fine. What happens is that instead of looking around for 10 mins for the answer to many of your questions, members take 30 secs to create a thread that has been asked many times before.
